Our home stood empty for a while before we came across it, and as you can see it needed a good amount of work to bring it up to a good standard of where we could actually move into it. The wife saw the potential straight away, and had plans for this, plans for that which i couldn't envisage straight away, but now we love what we have.
I'm going to add a few pictures only not too many as other posts also have a some pictures showing our home when we first viewed it.
This was the garage and lean too area, notice the build up of foliage on the ground, this was also on the roof tiles and was actually starting to grow there. To be honest it was all superficial and you have to look past this to see the potential once it was all cleaned.
Not looking in the best condition, bit a little work needed to be done of course. Took a couple of months before we were able to move in, plus many skip loads of old tiles to be taken way.
Our barbecue area was looking a little drab so we gave that an overhaul. It didn't happen overnight but gradually and now is a nice relaxing place to be even while its raining as its all undercover.
The final picture i want to show, is across the pool and looking up the garden. Notice ow overgrown it was, and there was a hedge which you can see in the distance which we removed to allow natural light to come into the garden and open it up. It took a while but was well worth it when it was done.
